Hair to Try

I've been doing some research to find some short hairstyles to learn how to do for my youtube channel. I'm on a 50s hair kick right now.

This one looks cute and simple!

This look is pretty similar to the first one.

A lovely evening style.

Love the bangs on this one! Can't wait till my bangs grow out just a bit so I can do this look!

What kind of hair styles have been inspiring you lately? Do you have any tutorial requests?

  1. I've been watching a lot of the old musicals lately...and really want to try and recreate some of the 'singing in the rain' hairdos. I don't know how debbie renolds hair stays so perfectly still without a hair out of place.

  2. I watch AT LEAST 2 old movies a week. i love them and its a great way to get authentic inspiration for hats and hair and clothes.I also set my hair amost every single night. (i dont maybe 1 night a week) Since i got my hair cut to about chin length, Uunless i spend tons of time making then ends curly for a permanant wave 40s do, almost everything looks like the 50s! i really like it. It doesnt take a whole lot of curl in it, just some volume like with hot rollers and some brushing and there you have it! of course, you do have to brush it against your hand to get it just so. and lots of curl makes it poof so i've found that these are good styles for 'day after' curls. Making a side part and pining my bangs and hiding the pin under some other hair also makes it cute too. Dont forget the ribbons and hats! they really make the style. I love the pictures! they're so cute!

  3. I don't know if you can figure out how to do this hairdo from the video

But your videos are always so clear and easy to follow.

    1. I'll play around and see what I can come up with. I so need one of those bobby pin snatchers though!
