I was super happy for Stephanie when she announced she would be going to Disney!! Lucky girl! I am thoroughly looking forward to travelling vicariously through her when she returns. Given my unabashed adoration of Disney and the princesses, I wanted to create little wardrobe capsules inspired by them. All with a wearable, modern twist, of course.
Belle
Belle is one of my favourite princess and she's a girl after my own heart with her love of books! . Belle's style is romantic, elegant, classic, and very feminine. A roomy, but pretty, bag is an essential piece of her wardrobe; perfect for carrying around her latest novel.
Ariel
Miss Friday felt this wouldn't be a complete princess post without her favourite: Ariel; Princess of the Sea. She is courageous, inquisitive, and determined. There's nothing conservative about Ariel's style - she is a definite risk-taker and not afraid to try the latest trends.
Jasmine
Jasmine is one of Miss Friday's favourite princesses and I quite like her, too. She is spunky, curious, fair, kind, and knows her own mind. Her style needs to mesh with her adventurous spirit, as well as her innate elegance and femininity.
Tiana
Tiana is a hard-working, focused, and forthright Princess. Her style is peppered with classically feminine pieces with an emphasis on practicality. After all, she's a very busy entrepreneur and her wardrobe needs to be both practical, as well as pretty.
Snow White
Snow White is a dreamer at heart. An eternal optimist, she is unruffled by nay-sayers and negativity. She makes friends easily, is caring, compassionate, and nurturing. She has a great love of nature and enjoys exploring.
I hope you've enjoyed my modern take on classic Princess wardrobes. Which princess' style suits you best? Who is your favourite princess?

What an excellent post, thanks so much for sharing! I have a soft spot for Snow White personally, but I'd be happy wearing any of the lovely looks you put together!
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun post to read! My favorite princesses are Belle (we share a love for books) and Rapunzel (Tangled was hilarious), but I really like Tiana's wardrobe - I'm all about pretty, practical, and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for having me, Stephanie! I loved writing this post. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! I love how the jewelry is a throwback to the Princesses' styles, like the little starfish earrings for Ariel and the frog brooch for Tiana! Very creative!
ReplyDeleteVery cute post! Belle is my favorite Disney princess but, of these wardrobes, I'd be more likely to raid Snow White's - red, blue, and yellow, love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute sets! Ariel has been my favorite, but I really love Tiana and Belle's sets.
ReplyDeleteYou totally had me at Disney- I can't pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought to turn disney characters into inspiration for every day wear. Very very cool!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I love your wardrobe capsules for each princess! Very well thought out and so pretty! For myself, I think I'd have to go with Belle's wardrobe. Not surprising, I never go out without a book and out colours are very similar!
