Cal-i-forn-i-a

I will be flying off to California in just a few weeks for Costume College! I'm terribly excited but I do have one small problem. I'm leaving at the crack of dawn from Ohio which means I'll be arriving in LA in the morning and the hotel check in isn't till 4 pm (really California?). So if you are in the LA area and would like to hang on Aug. 2nd or if you have suggestions on things to do please drop me a line at girlwiththestarspangledheart@gmail.com. The only real bummer is that, besides being too young to rent a car, I can't drive so taxi is the way to go.

  3. You can probably get an early check-in if you show up early, they can usually accommodate that. If nothing else they should be able to hold your bags. But hanging out is much more fun! I'd offer, but I have to work that day. :( I'll look for you at CoCo though!

  4. A 4 o'clock checkin means they guarantee your room will be ready then, but you can always TRY to check in when you arrive. If they have a clean room, they'll give it to you. Or stash your bags at the bell desk until your room is ready. Have a great time!

  5. eep how did i miss this! i might still have family in town august 2... will you have any time after that?
    several of us have been talking about an LA meetup.

    like everyone suggested, they'll probably let you in early, especially since it's the peak of get-out-of-dodge time in LA. if you wanna email me your hotel locale i can look into some good close things for you-- taxis here are more than a bit of a mess. there's also a great bus line called the DASH.
