I love this 30s sleuth type cape.
Look at this stunning 50s checked cape!
I love the little sleeves on this cape!
1940s glamorous capes!
A pretty cape in a neutral color is a great wardrobe basic.
This darling cape makes me wish I could crochet!

I love capes. I just wish I didn't feel so silly when I DO wear them. And it is pretty hard to make me feel silly about wearing a vintage style.
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm loving my cape! You could totally knit a similar version of that last one! Now I'm even thinking I could knit one. But what color, weight, style, length? I had a green one in college but I got rid of it cause I only wore it with one outfit. I think the checked one is the most amazing!
ReplyDeleteInstantly I'm drawn to the 30s and 40s capes.
ReplyDeleteHe he, that first image of a 30's cape pattern is the exact one I've used as inspiration for a recent project which I am yet to post on my blog. It is lovely isn't it?
ReplyDeleteFabulous cape styles! I've added a cape to my "hope to buy" this year vintage shopping list.

I really need to make a cape. I like the cape and coat combos best. Might be good for the colder spring days.
