Pinspiration: Crazy Edwardian Ruffles

There was a really crazy trend for some crazy ruffles in the 19-teens. It was popular in 1914 and returned again in 1919.

Even more scallops! :D

Ruffles! I also love the jacket with bows!

More scallop ruffles. Also note the ruffles on the sleeve cuff.

These dainty ruffles don't go across the front but there are still loads of them.

So what do you think of this 19-teens ruffle craze? Crazy awesome or just crazy?

  1. Awesome element of Edwardian fashion to shine the spotlight on. Those ruffles really were beautiful - whenever I see a ruffled wedding cake online or in a magazines these days, I think of these very same kinds of styles.
