Since I do not hand sew fast enough, I was so lost and did not know where to turn. Luckily I was sent a clothing catalog in the mail for the mature petite woman, my posterior is now 42 inches and my waist is now 29 inches. The great thing was this catalog offered well made affordable classic styled clothing. When I go out shopping I make sure I carry a retractable mini tape measure and measure each item which makes it super easy to buy clothes for my size. Knowing my measurements also helps me greatly when I shop online. I am very, very frugal when I shop too. Even though I no longer wear true vintage clothing I still manage to look more 1940s then 1950s. The comments I mainly get are did you make that yourself when I say no and tell them where they can buy said item they are surprised. Plus wearing vintage accessories helps make an outfit look more vintage, too.

My Blog:https://cosplayveganandvintage.wordpress.com/2015/06/02/vintage-styled-outfit-of-the-day/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4676620122743768137.post-31003651120125885832015-05-29T21:50:48.262-04:002015-05-29T21:50:48.262-04:00This was/is such an enjoyable video. I am learning how to sew exactly for the same reasons you state- ready to wear just doesn't fit my body, and some of the true vintage I own need tailoring.
Please do do a video of your favorite '50s vintage sites, I am interested to see if there are any that I have missed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02549413248372792510noreply@blogger.com
