I have one vintage shirtdress pattern from the sixties that I made and was stunned to find that no alterations were needed and it fits me perfectly. I have toyed with the idea of making it again but so far, have not. I'm all for shaking things up, too, but knowing that there are certain styles, patterns, and colours that you can reach for time and time again and look great in is worth its weight in gold.
