Gearing up for winter

Winter is not my favorite season..... It's so cold!!! But I've come to the conclusion that being prepared is a lot more useful than pouting about it.

I've been making an effort to stock up on vintage winter goodies like warm hats and coats.

So when I awoke to find the high was supposed to be 28F on Sunday, I wasn't exactly happy but my wardrobe was prepared.

I just adore the collar on this jacket! It always makes me feel glamorous!

I paired it with some other cozy winter pieces like my wool skirt and a green cardigan.

Pearls were added for a dash of class.

All and all, I kept mostly warm!

  1. I think I have that same coat in black! Only it is quite a bit too big on me - it was my Grammy's and she was a larger lady. Does yours have a label? It looks great on you.

    1. Thanks! The label says it's a Cuddle Coat.

    2. Yes! It is the exact same coat! I've been trying to find it all day, but I think I took it with me when I moved. Isn't it the warmest?

  2. I agree totally - I really hate being cold! So I, too, have decided to stock up on my vintage winter wardrobe which has involved buying wool dresses, skirts and coats! I love your coat and your fur hat too! The fur hat is another item I have been coveting but haven't found the right one yet.

  4. A Cuddle Coat, love it! The label alone is priceless:) Wonderful coat. Winter is difficult because I don't like the cold but I love to wear a nice vintage coat and tights. Also, I love to layer.

  5. I really don't like winter... I love vintage winter clothes, wool dresses, fur, felt hats, muff... but most of them are so hard to find and it's not easy to be comfy with layers of clothes!
Cold feet is also a big problem for me...

  6. I love your coat! If you have to wear a coat, it's definitely better to wear such a gorgeous one.
