A Quick Fix

Sometimes, when you are in the midst of a long, complicated project, you just need a quick pick me up project to get your creativity going again. After so much historical sewing this year, I needed just such a project.

Fabric: 1 yd green gingham probably poly/cotton blend ($?)
Pattern: Butterick 7328
Year: 1950s
Notions: Buttons ($6)
First worn: March '12
Wear again? Yes! It's still a bit chilly for this blouse, but it's going to be great for this summer! :D

It was pretty chilly so I topped it with a cardigan and my Freddie's of Pinewood capris. It really was too chilly for them to but I was so ready for summer!

Plus my hair was so cute! It deserved a nice outfit.

Are you ready for summer? Or are you more content to just ease on into spring?

Traveling in Style (sort of)

Ladies of the past may have traveled in style but when I'm going to be traveling by car I prefer to be comfy! So my Freddies were an easy choice.

These are my new black pleated pants! Pardon the wrinkles, they did road trip with me.

I also wore a green cardigan, orange top and my chic old lady gardening shoes.

This fountain was in our hotel and it was gorgeous! :D

Can I just say how much I love these pants! Freddies of Pinewood jeans are pricey especially to have them shipped over seas but I just adore them. So happy to finally have another pair that fits!

Yay pants!

Outfit Post: Freddies of Pinewood

Yay for Freddies of Pinewood! I've worn these around a couple of times and I'm in love! Today I'm not doing a full review, just a quick outfit post. I really want to give these pants a good go before I do a review.

Today I paired them with a 40s style peasant blouse and my saddle shoes. I haven't gotten around to hemming these pants so I've just rolled up the hem. They are crazy long.

I just love the big pockets on the back! Perfect for de-emphasizing any junk in the trunk.

The zipper is hiding in the pocket and they close with a cute side button.
