I love Audrey because she can pull off so many looks! Long hair, short hair, bangs, dramatic transformations all work for her. She also has such personality in her films. Audrey pulls off simple and fabulous whether she is the lovesick daughter of a chauffeur or the princess of a small European country. Plus she's a brunette! (I'll admit, I'm a bit biased. ;) )

Gettin' Organized Giveaway!
Do you ever plan on doing something and just never quite get around to it? Today was a day for catching up on all of those things! There was quite a lot of cleaning that went on, mostly the kind of stuff that doesn't need done every week so I tend to forget.
I have a tiny bathroom and it gets quite cluttered with all of my stuff. So today, I put my handy man pants on and put some nails in the walls for my snoods, scarves and Belle Blossoms.
I've been pondering how to store my Belle Blossoms for a while now. I tied a ribbon between two nails and clipped all of my flowers on to it. Now they are up and out of the way.
I've also had a giveaway planned for a while so here goes! Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorite fashion icons! So, I'm sharing a little Audrey with you today! To win these two great Hepburn films on DVD, leave a comment telling who your favorite film star fashion icon is and why. Want more entries? Share on your blog and leave a link to your post in a comment. The giveaway will be open until 12 pm Eastern Standard Time on April 15th.

Cherries Jubilee
I finished my cherry print purse! Hooray! It was just as crazy today as my previous attempts, but I succeeded. I did not get a zipper foot that worked on my sewing machine, but I did get the zipper in nicely by being very careful and moving the zipper as I sewed. My thread kept getting caught in my machine and I had to take it apart to get it all out. Then I couldn't get it back together again! Ahh! But, after some tough love (and quite a bit of banging), I got the whole contraption together and tada! it worked again! It was nuts. But now I have my purse and it is so worth it! I made it from a vintage pattern so I guess this is my first vintage purse.
Hey look, it matches my shirt! The lining is also green as I didn't find a good cherry red lining at the store and green's my favorite color anyways.
The ties are just long enough to fit over my shoulder but still short enough to carry by the ties.
My huge wallet fits inside, which makes me happy. It's a bit smaller than my normal purses, but I'm sure downsizing a bit will be worth it to use this beauty.
The best part of finishing my purse? It has a twin! And one of you lovely readers will get to add it to her closet. That's right, I'm hosting my very first give away!

New hair flowers and a day to evening look
Yesterday my satin hair flowers from GracieLuv Creations came in! (Remember that I won a $15 store credit on my friend Bonnie's coupon blog Just a Clip Away.) They are so cute! Each is made of satin with pearl beads in the center. I chose a pink flower with glitter tole and a purple flower with leopard print. In honor of the fact that one is cute, girly and day looking and the other is sexy and night, I thought I'd do a day to evening outfit with my new hair flowers!

The base of my outfit is a simple black top and a fun skirt. I love this skirt because it has black, white and brown so I can really play with mismatching. I did my go to hair style (which you can see Casey's Elegant Musings' tutorial for here.). It's a great silhouette that works with or without bangs and with a variety of options for the back of your hair. Here is the day look:

Skirt: New York and Company
Top: Charlotte Russe
Belt: thrifted
Shoes: Express
Necklace and Earrings: American Eagle
Hair flower: GracieLuv Creations
Cute, girly jewelry, a light colored belt and flats make this outfit light and perfect for day.

I love the way it pops against my hair!
The evening look:

Belt: New York and Company
Shoes: boutique in Maine
Necklace and bracelet: gifts from my husband :D
Earrings: New York and Company
Hair flower: Gracie Luv Creations
More bling and a dark belt and heals turn day to evening.

My tanzanite bracelet helps pull the purple from my hair flower into the outfit. Animal print always goes!
So cute! Wish my hair would stop falling over it! Must use more bobby pins next time.
