Happy Christmas to Me!

I thought I'd share a few of the vintage goodies I got for Christmas / graduation this year. Some are gifts and some I picked out myself with gift money. I was very lucky in my goodies this year. Aside from a nice fabric haul, I got some great stuff!

Vintage patterns galore! Can't wait for early 40s sewing this year!

  1. Nice haul! Love the freddies jeans. Are they the Norma Jeans?? I wish I could get them, but I've been loosing weight, which is great, but I hate to put out the money if they won't fit after a while.

    1. Yes, they are the Norma Jeans. They've actually just come out with a new Marylin Monroe inspired jean-Clash By Night. Congrats on the weight loss! Maybe you can treat yourself to a pair when you reach your goal?

  2. Oooh, you were definitely on Santa's good list this year, dear gal! Awesome holiday season haul. Those Freddies look wonderful on you. I live in mine during this time of year, especially for taking the puppy out for walks and to the dog park.

  3. Early 40's? Good choice, hard to find in vintage so it will be nice to see what you will make!
I would love to have another Freddies jeans but they are not for curvy gals, hips are always too small for my waist size...

    1. I have a 12" difference between my waist and my hips and I've found a few styles that work for me. Not all of their styles are cut the same so it's sort of hit and miss.

  4. Those dresses will look great on you! I've been eyeing the same Wearing History patterns and can't wait to see yours sewn up.
    Happy new year!

  5. The simplicity patterns look like they are in wonderful shape. Some really lovely designs. The early 40s late 30s had some wonderful silouettes.
