Makeup Reviews

I finally feel like I've used the new products I got on Black Friday enough to give them a proper review. This bunch if from the Kat von D line.

Enjoy!

  1. What made you initially pick Kat von D in the first place? I've never heard of the brand, but my entire family has at one point or another worked for Mary Kay, so I've been using that since birth. :-P

Also, is the Tattoo liner still a liquid? Do you find it easier/better than the crayons? I was never able to use liquid liner without making it look like OH HEY I'VE GOT A BLACK LINE ON MY FACE.

    1. Lisa Freemont Street did some reviews of Kat von D products on her youtube channel and that's how I found them.

The tattoo liner is a liquid. I cannot use crayons. I don't know what it is about them, but it's very difficult for me to get them to write on my eyelid. I have to stretch out my eyelid to get them to work (which I've been told will give me wrinkles! eep!) and then I still feel like I'm poking my eye all over the place. So I'm a big liquid fan! The tattoo liner is not super pigmented so it's not as bold as the Autograph liner (the one in the pot).

  2. I don't use mascara, my eye lashes are super dark. I think their a black brown or just black. So I don't think I need it. As for eyeliner, I love it! I have heard some about Kat von D and not sure who she is. Is she a pinup model like Dita von Teese?

    1. She's a tattoo artist who also has a tv show (LA Ink) and a makeup line.

  3. Of all those tattoo shop shows that were on a few years ago, Kat's was the only one I really watched. She was fiery, fun and not afraid to be herself. I haven't tried her products, but definitely would. I wonder if anyone sells them up here in Canada (I'm thinking Sephora would be the most likely place).

    Thanks for the great review!

    1. I buy mine from Sephora so it's a good place to look.
